Every person is designed by God with a unique purpose in mind and one goal which is relevance. God intends for his people to not just survive and get by, but to be relevant and be stakeholders in the society. To be and remain a stakeholder, the best version of one self is a continuous journey of discovering the wholesome and the richness within. 2 Corinthians 4: 7 states that ‘But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.’
Relevance in our world is God’s purpose and should be in all aspect of our lives and the society. The society and every person is influenced mainly through the 7 mountains of the society.
The 7 mountains of influence was a God-given world-changing strategy coined in 1975 by Bill Bright, founder of Campus Crusade and Loren Cunningham, founder of Youth With a Mission (YWAM). They concluded that in order to truly transform any nation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, these seven facets of society must be reached: Religion, Family, Education, Government, Media, Arts & Entertainment and Business. A person discovers their wholesomeness when they know where they were designed to transform. This process is reciprocal in nature. As a person stands to transform the mountain they have been designed to operate in, the process refines the person and bring about the richness in the person.
